The Tribute Project

A letter to your baby. A painting in response. A place for your grief to finally rest.

If you have lost a child to abortion — whether last year or thirty years ago — your grief is real, and it deserves a name. The Tribute Project invites you to write a handwritten letter to your child in heaven. Polly Lunetto then creates an original painting in response to your words, and you receive a signed fine art print as a lasting, private keepsake. Your name is never published. Your story is safe here.

You Are Allowed to Grieve

There is nothing abnormal about missing your child.

Maybe no one has ever said that to you. Maybe you have carried this loss in silence because you believed you had no right to mourn it. Polly has walked this road herself. In her words: “Through my own healing journey, I learned that there’s nothing abnormal about grieving the loss of your unborn child — even if the loss occurred through an abortion.”

Grief that is acknowledged can begin to heal. That is what the Tribute is for — a way to say your child’s life mattered, and to take one gentle step toward the hope waiting on the other side of that acknowledgment.

Four steps. One at a time. At your own pace.

The Details

Everything you need to know before you write.

Your letter
Handwritten on a 5”×7” card, front side only, positioned horizontally. Include your return shipping address so your print can find its way back to you. Mail to: Polly Lunetto Ministries, P.O. Box 5033, La Quinta, CA 92248.

The timeline
Please allow 6–8 weeks for turnaround after your letter is received. Good things are worth the wait — this one is painted by hand.

The cost
There is no fee to participate. The Tribute is offered freely, with a gift of any size — whatever you are able to give helps carry the Tribute to the next parent waiting to write.

Your privacy
Your name is never published — not on the painting, not in the exhibit, not anywhere. The artwork is shown anonymously, and your letter is treated as the sacred thing it is.

Your keepsake
The fine art print you receive is personally signed by Polly.

Writing from Canada
Handwrite your letter on a 5”×7” card or paper, front side only, horizontal. Photograph it on a solid background in good lighting, then email it to PollyLunettoMinistries@gmail.com or text it to 760-834-1365. Your keepsake journey is the same from there.

What to Expect

The letter is the hardest part. It is also the beginning.

Many participants tell us the blank card sits on the table for a while before the first word comes. That is normal. There is no right way to write to your child in heaven — some letters are long, some are only a few lines, some are mostly an apology, some are mostly love. All of them are enough.

Expect tears. Expect relief you did not see coming. Expect, in the weeks that follow, to find that saying your child’s name — even just on paper — loosens something that silence had held tight. Thirty-three parents from fifteen states and Canada have written before you, honoring forty-six unborn lives. Every one of them started with the same blank card, and every one of them is glad they picked up the pen.

Our Promise of Confidentiality

From the moment your letter arrives, it is handled with reverence and discretion. Your name is never published. Your identity is never attached to the artwork in the exhibit. What you share stays between you, Polly, and heaven. You can take this step in complete privacy — and keep it private for as long as you choose.
